Members of Greek Row will participate in friendly competition, community service and social events to help strengthen the community among the different chapters during Greek Week, April 10 through 15.

"Usually the week is more focused on competition, but this year we are trying to make it more to unify and rally each other as one unified group," said Sarah Crass, Panhellenic vice president.

David Stollman of Campuspeak will start off the week with a presentation on committing to greek life or getting out, Monday night in the Union Ballroom.

His speech will focus on inspiring members to care about the core values of greek life: friendship, service, leadership and scholarship.

On Wednesday, fraternity and sorority members will take children from the Neighborhood House, an after-school program in west Salt Lake City, to Hogle Zoo.

"We hang out with them all afternoon. All the greeks love it, and it's tradition, too," Crass said.

The second-annual Greek Olympics will put students in competition against each other Friday with a game of tug of war, capture the flag and piling as many people as possible on a twin-size mattress.

The week will cap off with a block party Saturday at the outdoor recreation area near the dorms.
