You assume I don't know them, I have news for you, I DEFINITELY KNOW THEM. In fact I know many of them on a personal basis and quite well, which is why I said that they have a few good guys. Like you said 12% of the student body voted, how does that show that ASUU works? It doesn't, and probably a fourth of the votes came from the Greek system which is the only student group that even cares about ASUU in numbers. We all know how much money the Sigma Chi's have, their parents and grandparents enjoy donating obscene amounts of money, which is why they were probably able to give out those tacos from Rubios as a bribe for a vote. I could go on about the bad mouthing of the NOW candidates towards the ICE Party and their incredible lies. Morgan Sorensen decided it would be ethical and cool to say that the ICE Party in now way supported the Greek system which is an absolute lie, trying to gain absolute support from the Greeks for her party. Politics at its best, but this just goes to show what you can expect this next year... lies and deceit. Granted that the University of Utah is a commuter school, there should still be more involvement and voting by the students, thus a HUGE reason ASUU needs to be restructured. I don't care about extending the MUSS, since when has there been a problem getting seats to begin with? I sure hope they follow through on their other goals, like making a Career week and setting up a texting service/marketing to get students more involved and keep them informed. If this can be done in a way that changes the way our school works and communicates then I will take back everything I've said about the Sigma Chi leadership being lazy, arrogant and immature. But lets face the facts, ASUU really doesn't do much for our school, rather it acts as an entity for those part of it that can be put on a resume. Most of them just goof off in their cubicles and offices. I rarely saw anything done this year. Not to say that they spend 100% of their time doing nothing, but they could be doing a TON more. I also love that Chase Jardine's aunt is Annie Christensen, the Dean of Students, she enjoys taking all of your rights away and telling you that the University can do whatever they want. The Sigma Chi's also love to blackball groups they dislike. One student group should never have such a full involvement with ASUU. If just a few Sigma Chi's were involved with the NOW party, I wouldn't be writing this. I am writing this because I am sincerely concerned with what is going to happen next year and I am preparing those of you reading this to expect a rough year ahead.

I'm sorry you have the deluded view that 12% voting = the student body's fault. ASUU has absolutely no power or influence over the majority of the student body (as evidenced in the article), 43 people voted for a tree. If they hadn't been bribing students with breakfast and slamming them with their "massive (vote for me!) NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!" posters even less students would have voted. The most notable thing they did last year was make Hyper Highway look like a road. Which is now under construction. And what self respecting college makes their campus look like an elementary school playground? I want my money back.
